John has worked for Beltone Hearing Care
Corporation since 1984 and is the Strategic Alliance Manager with responsibility
for overseeing all third-party contracting and patient financing programs.
Beltone is a manufacturer of hearing instruments with an exclusive nationwide
distribution network of hearing care providers.
Mr. Laftsidis has over 25 years experience in sales and marketing management
in the hearing industry. Past experience includes: Division Manager for Siemens
Hearing Instruments where he oversaw the Professional Products Division and lead
initiatives to increase top line sales revenue while reducing operating expenses.
He bought several speech and hearing related products to market including test
equipment and office management software.
He also served as Director of Distribution Administration for Beltone Managed
Care, Inc. Accomplishments during his tenure include negotiating and procuring
the first national agreement with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association to provide
hearing care programs for their Medicare Supplement members.
John is a licensed hearing aid dispenser and holds a Bachelor of Science degree
in Business Management from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He has published
articles in hearing journals and spoken at industry association meetings on managed
care.
